x2 what 99 said. I also like that you can build a model and then search the local dealers for a match. Nice feature.

Interesting. Do you know how your friend got his? I've never heard of that before, unless you special order it. When I was looking at trucks last March, the dealer had a lot of work trucks, which were stripped down, but I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for.

Back on Chevy's Site....They have Reps Online that would most likely be able to Answer your question.

Yes I want it stripped down. No floor mats not extras just basic. I'm not one for all the bells and whistles.

Good luck. Let us know how you make out. I like that idea. Get it stripped and keep it as-is or customize it the way you want.

My '05 work truck was rather basic. Running the RPO codes there were two that do make it sound like it was built to order.

It has crank windows and manual locks, 40/20/40 seat w/ no console but with split zone HVAC in a small cab, go figure!

The radio has a single CD. It has 17" chrome faced wheels w/ a full size spare rather than the 16" painted rims.

It has just a vinyl floor...It is a 4.3L v-6, auto trans w/ manual shift 4x4, longbed, no receiver hitch [darn!] but has the trailer wiring that plugs into the back of a 7 way trailer plug...
