    Default Dirty CAI Intake

    hey guys(gals)
I put in a Spectre CAI about 30k miles ago, instal was a breeze. Recently its gotten very dirty, and I've noticed with others that the aftermarket bracket that comes with such brands such as K&N, theres a cover that completes the box to shield the filter from debris(mine didnt come with a cover, just a mounting bracket). I'm wondering how I go about cleaning the filter, or are they like regular air filters where I buy a replacement one? And should I invest some time into buying/making a cover for the filter?
    thanks everyone

I'm pretty sure those intakes are washable and you can just wash it and let it dry. Save you a little money.

I just washed mine with the K&N cleaner kits... worked great and made the filter look new every time.
