Suburbans can be great bargains if you don't mind a bit of work.
However most $500 vehicles don't come with Vette engines and $800 worth of carbs, intakes, headers.
You lucky %$#&&- I am jealous
Looks great, but that should be an 8 Ball, not a 2 Ball on the column!

So I figured it wouldn't be a caddy without a woodgrain dash so I bought some black ash for it. This stuff is what they use to make custom home speaker boxes. I didn't want a bright wood and i think this came out nice. I still need to order the strips for the front doors that dont have the straps and also see about fixing the strip on the dash.

I know what you are sayin. I did the 2 because the truck is blue and the 2 ball I had has a great drunk story to go with it.

Ahh, I get it. One of those "now I did this when I was a lot younger-don't try this at home stories"

    2 Ball OK then.
I meant $800 worth of carbs/headers/intakes not $8000 of course. But the $800 is what I could actually sell those used performance parts for-the carb alone might be $450 new-.

A Vette engine is never cheap-worth $500 easy-

    Yes, that is a heck of a good starting point.Lucky #@$% !!
A good body of that age -not any bad rust- is a great find in most areas of the USA.In the midwest, north east, east coast and upper midwest vehicles are rust buckets in 10-15 years.

In the south east-New Orleans where I am- you will find some good bodies that age, but most are junk in 20 years-and we don't have real rust problems-despite the rain and floods.

    Lucky guy

Ok so I took it out on the road and it felt like one of these getto low riders. So I looked and it was riding on the frame so I redid the flip but I removed the thick helper spring. It isn't like I will be hauling anything. It lowered it about an incn.
