    Default Mass airflow sensor

    Would putting an aftermarket airflow sensor be beneficial?
    2006 Z71, HID conversion, 33" nitto terra grapplers, flowmaster, cold air intake, 10" kicker subs

    nooooo!

    do not change the MAF sensor... the stock MAF is plenty, they can handle 550+ hp anyway...

    aftermarket MAF's fool the pcm into thinking it's running leaner than it really is, and screws things/tunes up....

    do not change it...

    Since we're discussing MAF, stay away from oiled filters like K&N. They will foul your MAF.
    When you hear hoofbeats, look for horses not zebras.

    I believe that if you don't soak your K&N filter in oil your MAF will be fine.

    reguardless of what you do to those kn but eventually it'll touch your maf sensor after time which is why i went with an AEM DRYFLOW

    If you don't soak the filters then you'll have absolutely zero problems with it. If you do get to much oil on it, then just go get some maf cleaner.

    Read on one of these forums that a guy working in an engine shop could always tell when an engine had been running a K&N by the scoring in the cylinder walls.
    When you hear hoofbeats, look for horses not zebras.
