    Default TBI Has MAF Sensor?

I have heard back and forth that the TBI motor has a MAF sensor and that it doesnt. I have a 94 Silverado K1500 350 TBI. Now i want to do the "Ultimate TBI mod" from www.tbichips.com and i told someone that i was going to do this but they said it would mess up the MAF sensor, then i asked someone else and they said it didnt have one. So does it or not.

    Thanks.

Some models may have a MAF sensor.
My '91 does not have one on him.

I am thinking that '94 models do not have the MAF installed on them.

My '94 does not have a MAF...

I ended up getting a CHIP programed from PCMforless.com after making all of my modifications. Great price @ $219 shipped.

TBI uses a MAP sensor so the computer can determine the load on the engine.

All tbi motors were speed density, they used the MAP sensor, tps, and engine rpm to tune the vehicle.

I took a 3.4l 'crate' engine approved for 2.8l carb engines and installed it into my '88 S-10. After figuring out it was running lean, I read how someone who did the swap w/ the 3.4l from a '94 Camaro added used 4.3l injectors to his.

I went out and bought 2 new injectors and a TBI rebuild kit and later stuck a K & N in the air cleaner & flipped the lid [sounded great!] and ran it like that for years...

One guy added a second air inlet tube to his air cleaner and some got the air inlets from mid 80's Cadillacs for more air...Your computer will adjust to the difference. It will handle up to 10% increase in HP but couldn't deal w/ the 20% increase on my swap...it would run and I got great gas mileage but wouldn't remember the fuel curve making each startup intresting & I felt I couldn't let my wife drive it...After the injector change it remembered and drove like a new truck.

Well i bought a hypertech chip a while back, i wonder if it will allow a Hp increase better than if i had the stock chip. Maybe i will just get a TBI spacer and take off that gold ring.
