Default Hello all just wanted to introduce myself.

I'm John from Norfolk, VA. I was looking around at different variations of the Suburban and came across your website. I thought I'd join to relay my own thoughts as well as receive help if needed for what I might do to my Chevy Suburban.

It's a 1994, and I'm coming from a 1994 Ford Explorer (BIG DIFFERENCE). At first I was a little jilted by the weight of the truck and it's power as my Explorer was the standard 4 litre V6 and it seemed like Ford tried way too hard to make it plush and comfortable.

Well I love my raw unadulterated power now. If it's one thing I'll give my Suburban it's the fact I can feel when she's got it in her... that saunter to get around a corner... that pep in her step to accelerate around a vehicle or two... or three!... that heft to show me she's going to keep me safe and lord help the other vehicle if they somehow hit me.

Just never felt that with the Explorer, just felt like she wanted to act nice until I was gone and out of her hair. Was never a good match at all.

So thank you for making the site and I hope to start contributing soon!

    - John

Welcome to the site, John! The first Chevy I ever drove on a regular basis was a Tahoe that I had in high school when I was in Guatemala. As you can imagine, traffic there is crazy and it's the bigger car that always wins. The beefy and solid construction of that Tahoe mixed with the amazing power you've mentioned was more than helpful in many situations. I can't think of a better first vehicle to give a first time driver in an environment like that. It served me exceptionally well and I'm more than glad to hear that you're Suburban is doing the same for you. I hope you continue to enjoy it for many years.

If you need any help getting around the site, let me know. Again, welcome!
