The state has been a democratic state for a long time, but the races are always hard fought and pretty dirty hahah.

I think fewer and fewer people these days are hardline right or left on politics. There's too many issues to be divided to one side or the other for most people.

I personally didn't vote. Like Murdog, the candidates were kinda sucky. But in regard to who got in, I guess he's the lesser of the 3 evils. But then it depends who you ask. Because he certainly has glaring flaws. In an interesting turn RI has it's first independent governor. I guess whatever the case he can't be much worse than the last jackhole.

Sounds like you're Libertarian then. A great place to be! Socially liberal and financially conservative (to sum up a lot of ideas rather quickly). Unfortunately, most candidates put up by the Libertarian party are kind of nut jobs so most people just say they're moderate or pick one side or the other.

No Worries Kid. If you don't want the government intruding & interferring in your life, then you are a conservative, NOT a liberal... ha ha
Liberals, progressives, & socialists are the ones that think they can run "your life" better than you can, even to the point of telling you what you can put on your truck. Sway bars, ok,... turbos, blowers, & big meats sticking outside the fenders?? ha ha sorry kid,
government liberals won't allow that. Jacking with the emissions & making it run better... nope sorry. The progressives/liberals know what's best, so you will have to drive the vehicle that they determine is best for you & for society in general. How about a nice Prius, or a mini-van?

looks like this political satire/humour/rationing could go on forever. Being from Canada, I did not get to see too much election Coverage. However, with the excellent choices here for Polling, I would pick " MEH " ....just to be different and indecisive !!!

I live in Nebraska.... Nothing ever changes here. Roads dont get built, colleges close down, Heinemann's cheeks clinch up so tight he could squeeze 5 quaters out of a dollar bill. I would move to hawaii but I'd never get to go ice fishing.

Indecisiveness can be fun, plus it really irks the extremists. lol
