Sububan rear window defogger
I have cargo doors on my 2001 sububan. The defogger only works on passager side door. Where can I get info on what the buttons should read on a multi meter?

did you make sure the two contacts that provide power to the window grid work? this is most likely your issue. There should be two wires on either side of the window. If one is broken off, it won't work. You can buy a repair kit at an auto parts store to re-stick it in.

Mine did the same thing.. all i did was sand the top of contact button's with some sandpaper... put some contact grease on the little button's and popped them up and down for a while and they worked like a charm. Sometimes they get stuck down and need to be unstuck try that.

The water can get on these easily too and build up corrosion just make sure they are clean and all of the posts move freely in and out when you push on them with your finger. They are very easy to unscrew to look behind them as well so ensure that the interior part is not broken as mine was on my suburban. If you need to replace it, it is just plug and play and pretty cheap even at the dealership for a new part.99 K1500 Suburban LT "THE BEAST"
