    Default 2001 Silverado PCM

I need to disconnect the connector to the PCM to check some wires, if I disconnect the connector and reconnect will that do anything to the computer, or do I need reprogram something when I reconnect it.
is there some sort of procedure to do this?

found the procedure in my haynes book, now just need the wiring diagram and pin out for the PCM. this is for a 2001 Silverado 1500 4.8L
I'm trying to trace the wires on the ECT circuit. I think I have a break in the ground side of the ECT sensor, gray wire. my haynes book isnt very clear on this subject.

Your only real solution when it comes to those schematics is to go on Ebay, and order a full Tech manual for your truck since that will have the schematics in it. Usually you can get those pretty cheap, and they will come in HANDY compared to a Haynes manual.
