    Default Fuel Range

I have recently installed the Driver Info Ctr which was pretty straight forward as mentioned by the very knowledgeable members on this forum. However, once my DIC registers between 33-30 miles remaining in fuel range, the unit stops calculating. Do I have to set up the DIC for engine type and fuel tank capacity or something?

I don't think so. The same thing happens to me (though usually closer to 15-20 mpg range). I'll admit that I'm not exactly sure what the deal is, but I've always just figured that at that range, driving habits influence changes to empty too quickly for it to assess a good fuel range. After about 20 mpg remaining on my truck it just says "Low Fuel" and quits computing fuel range to empty. Of course, that's only happened once or twice. I try really hard to not go under 1/4 or 1/2 a tank.
