Hey Jon, welcome to the GM truck club. It's nice to have a new member from Belguim.
Your question is difficult to answer because we can't see the truck or check it out for you. If you have doubts about it, ask the owner if you can take it to a mechanic & have him check it out before you buy it. If the owner does not have any issues to hide on this vehicle, then he will be happy to let you do this.

[QUOTE=Davandy;307768]I think what Jon wants to know is are there known issues with this type of truck?

    Hey DaveAndy,
I don't know of any particular failure issues, but I think the 90,000 miles is getting to the point where many things can start going wrong (or may already be wrong) & is why it would be good to have it checked if Jon is not a mechanic. I bought mine with 98,000 miles on it & it took about $3,000. (parts only) to make everything right. There can be things that are wrong, that Jon can't see just by looking & it might be cheaper for him to take it to a mechanic & have it checked over good, rather than get a big repair bill later that he was not expecting.

**I see you are from Belgium also. Are mechanics really expensive there? How much would they charge Jon to check engine compression or cylinder leakdown test, & put the truck on a hoist & check everything underneath, suspension, brakes etc??

Good advice, Stephan and great question about the prices of mechanics in Belgium. I'm also curious about that.

Speaking of Belgium... I almost ended up living there once. I'm still curious to check it out. Some day... Haha

    Welcome to the club, Jon!

Welcome to the G M T C ! There is someone on the site that has two ""Quadsteer" Suburbans. He really likes them for towing his travel trailer. They sure make backing up with a trailer much easier.
