Welcome to the conversation, Charlie! It's funny how you ride the levees. There are some really good forrest trails not far from here with plenty of man-made rock gardens and other technicalities. Ultimately, though... there's nothing naturally steep enough to simulate true mountain riding. The trails are just off of a lake, though. And guess what? There's a levee with plenty of switchbacks that have been carved into the side to add on to the trails. Great place to ride. They've got everything from beginner to more technical trails and a trail committee to keep it all up. Not too bad!

You're in Ruston, right? Do you ever get to NOLA?
Remind me to post some pictures and PM you.
I definitely want to sell it, but I might forget to pm you. It is a nice bike-the NRS is suppposed to eliminate BOB-the rear end cycling up and down as you pedal which makes riding less efficient. It actually works-you can dial almost all bob out of it. MTB bikes are constantly whining about BOB in full suspension bikes.

Vincennes-where in TX? Near Austin?? What levee??

Yeah I'm from Dry Prong but I'm in Ruston now for college, but for a deal like that I would make the drive to NOLA. I would just like to know a bit more about the bike (year, size, color, condition, etc.) before I sink the time and money into it. Just let me know man I'm really interested!

As for the levee thing that sounds very difficult but fun at the same time. One of the reason I like riding the trail is you just can't replace the feeling of flying down a trail nearly hitting trees.

Cheez- ha- I promise you, when you get to be 59 you will want to pass on that "nearly hitting trees" feeling.Heck, I've become a mpg fanatic-I drive like an out and out sissy now(or whatever the PC word is for sissy). I bet I havent' hit 80 mpg in 15 years!
When I was 17 I would drive my father's 1965 Plymouth Fury 3 SW at WOT (111 MPG INDICATED) everywhere! I once drove our tiny(1700 lb) 1969 Toyota Corolla SW at WOT from Baton Rouge to Denver(1300 miles). Made it in 20 hours- it did 84 mph at WOT.
Needless to say soon after that it blew a head gasket-told my dad it must have been cheap Japanese parts! Heck back then-70's-the Texas panhandle was even more deserted, so I carried 4 5 gallon jerrycans of gasoline in the back of it!

Yeah, I was an adrenalin junkie now I'm a mpg junkie!Tough getting old, but beats the alternative!
Enjoy the rush-I still like to ride-anything with wheels!

I'll post some pictures here and PM you.

My bike came in Monday. Between school and the weather idk if i'll ever get a chance to take it to the trails.

This is a pic of the color, which turns out to be very tricky to get a good pic of.
