    Default Overhead DVD player problem...

I am new to the forum, and I know this could have gone in the Audio section, but I thought I would ask here because it is specific to Suburbans. Anyway, I have a 96 K2500 Suburban with rear AC controls. I was wondering if anyone has mounted an overhead DVD console, and if so what brand and where? The dome light where i would have mounted it sits on a hump that is for the rear AC controls and looks way too small to mount a DVD player. If I move it back to the first flat spot in the headliner, it will be behind the controls and vents, and I think it will be too far back for the kids to watch...they are all in car seats currently. Anyone have any ideas or solutions? Thanks in advance. If I can't come up with something, I will investigate headrest dvd players, but that option sounds very expensive.

I've got a couple of portable units that have velcro straps that wrap around the driver and front passenger headrests.
They plug into the 12 volt, and have headphones.

I don't remember if the 96 had removable headrests but we have installed the replacement head rests in a few vehicles and they have worked really well for two kids that inevitably want to watch diIffferent things... if not the portable one's may be the best bet.

thanks for the suggestions, I think I have decided to use portable ones. I have spent the last day and a half installing satellite radio and a new receiver, so the next project will be to install some sort of DVD system, most likely the portable type. I plan on installing a few 12v outlets inside the center console in the next few weeks, along with a couple under the passenger seat to power the DVD player.

Naptime, nice rig. I hope mine looks that good in the next few months.
