Thread: Ford Guy...

    Default Ford Guy...

Just bought a new to me 2001 silverado z71 ext cab with the ls package. I have had rangers and f150s all of my life. I was looking for a newer truck and came upon the silverado. She has 68000 on the clock and runs like a champ. So far, I love this truck. I will say that chevy trucks seem to ride a little smoother than fords.
One thing I dont get is the whole headlights always on thing. Oh well.

I am taking it in next week to get the front windows matched to the back.
After the new year I am looking to put an exhaust system on it. Any suggestions?

Look forward to talking with you all.

    Randy

Welcome to the club..I've had 2 Rangers and 3 F150's in the past , none of them ever gave me any problems. I just really like the looks of the Chevrolet better. I purchased a 2007 Z71 crew cab in August and I love the looks ( with my leveling kit) and sound ( flowmaster super 44 ) and stance ( Mickey Thompsons ) . Great to have you , you'll see alot of different mods and very nice trucks on here.

Funny you should say that because one dealer had a used ram that he wanted to show me. I told him it was a four wheel drive caravan. He laughed and said it had been there for a while.

I agree with the looks. Mid 90's ford looked great.after 97 that all changed. The new ones are nice on the outside but I don't care for the interior. Too car like maybe.

LoL!!! I got a pretty good laugh at that. I actually went by the Dodge dealership the day I bought my Silverado and I just couldn't get myself to like any of the trucks they had there. They just don't do it for me. My grandmother just signed the title of an older Dodge over to my parents, though. It works well for a farm-type truck. I mean, it hauls hay, wood, limbs, etc. haha.

    Anyway, welcome to the club!
