    Those wrinkles over the wheel wells wont come out easy, thats a large area that'll need to be massaged and smoothed I'd talk to a couple shops before I settled anything.

    I agree with the man above! I'd almost bet to say a shop would look at that and tell you to get a new bed, so then they can tell that same thing to the insurance company.

    A lot of my friends have been saying that I'll probably need a new bed, but is it really that difficult to take those dents out on the side?

    yeah because those dents like that don't pull out. Takes a lot of time consuming bodywork.

    When I was rear ended they estimated a replacement bed at $3500. Mine was hit much harder so it was declared totaled due to the frame damage and shoving the bed into the cab.

    Based on the picture it might only need a new skin on the bed. This was done on a weekend trucks show on TV.

    I got the check in the mail two days ago. $3,500. I'm going to get a new side panel from LMC and have it painted, then just take out the small dents in the tailgate and where the bed hit the cab. It shouldn't cost more than $1,500.
