Dressing Up My Yukon -- More Chrome on Rear
I have been thinking that the rear of my SUV is lacking any chrome and needs to be improved upon. So I went in search of material. I purchased “Chroma Metallic Stripez” in a 5 foot by 3 inch roll.
I went outside and measured the space between these ribs if you will. My first attempt I used 3/8” and was too narrow, so I went up to ½” which I feel looks nicer. This is my first attempt ever doing something like this, so results may vary…
Chrome trim on cutting board
Chrome strips cut to width
Full rear side chrome
Full rear looking down
Not sure of what you may think, but for $8 and an hour of time I think it is the perfect compliment."The only person who is educated is the one who has learned how to learn and change."
