I'm on about my 6th tank of has since I bought my 07 silverado classic a few weeks ago. No matter how heavy or light my foot is, or highway or city, I always seem to come out with 17Mpg. I got a 4.8 2x4 with 3:23s, diablosport tuner, and magnaflow exhaust.... So far...
    runnin 93 octane

Big difference from the 27mpg I averaged in my 350z

I try to drive with a light foot also. My MPGs are around 15 for E85 and 18 for gasoline. I just added a bed cover so I'm hoping to get a little more MPGs out of it.

My 1992 C1500 get 20 +/- 2 MPG. I think the two wheel drive standard cab older 5.7 is one of the more efficient setups out there.

I drive this the most of the time because it the most fuel efficient choice for me. My 2004 VW gets around 13 in town and maybe 19 on the highway. My 1987 Porsche is all over the map. Sure it gets over 20 on the highway, but blasting around town it gets way less.
