Tire Size For 5/7 Drop??????
I'm Kinda New To Using This Site And Couldn't Really Find What I Was Looking For, My Question Is What Tire Size Can I Run With A 5/7 Drop Kit On My 2004 Silverado Xtra Cab 2wd? I'm Running 17' Avalanche Rims And Currently Have 265/70/17 Nitto Terra Grapplers And I'm Pretty Sure They Won't Clear, I Bought A Complete McGaughys 5/7 Drop Kit Off Craigslist For $100, Flip Kit, Spindles, Springs, Shackles, Shock Relocators, I Think Thats It......And Id Like To Drop It But I Need Some Help On A Tire Size First That Won't Rub....But Nothing Too Thin, Thanks In Advance For Any And All Help

I unfortunatly can't answer your question, but I already like you cause you are asking about DROPPING your truck rather than lifting it With that said, 5/7 is a big drop, I don't think I've seen it here before-I've seen 3/5s but not a 5/7. Maybe one of our other street truck guys could help you out
I know its a different forum, but here's a link to a guy running a 5/7 drop on 20s

Thanks.....N Ya Not A Big Fan Of Lifting, Every Vehicle Ive Had Has Been Lowered, And A 2/3 Or 3/5 Isn't Enough For Me, If I'm Gona Lower It Its Getting Slammed Till More Money Arrives And Bags Come Into Play lol
