


I wonder where they came up with the name Avalanche. We've got the Suburban, Trailblazer, Tahoe, Silverado and Avalanche for trucks and suvs. No commonality between the source of the names.

Maybe they were feeling confident that this vehicle was going to roll over, and smother the competition.
Just guessing. I'd be interested to hear what the real reason is...if anyone knows.

See, Tahoe is the biggest little city in the world. Silverado is tough and will get your back in a bar fight.
Avalanche will kill you when you're just out skiing with your family. How's that a good name for a vehicle?
