    thanks for the info i was looking at pacesetters and they require u to use there y-pipe so i guess i can bolt up some kind of cat after that

    Keegan, Most of the guys that put on headers also use the "high flow" aftermarket cats simply because they flow more freely. The cat(s) are restrictive so the mpg & performance is better with high flow cats.
    Any set of long tube headers from any of the well known manufacturers are going to be good. Just remember to stay small on the primary tube diameter for your 4.8L,
    1 1/2" or 1 5/8" maximum, otherwise you'll probably not show much gain, & could lose mpg & low end torque.

    350 c.i. 5.7 L Stock Block, 4 Bolt Mains
    L-31 Vortec Heads, Edelbrock Cam & Intake,
    Holley 650, Flowtech Headers, Magnaflow exh.
    Jet Trans 700R4, B&M Ratchet, 4:10 gears,
    3" susp. lift kit "shadetree"
    No rev limiter, No speed limiter lol
