I have heard recently that headers aren't worth the money nor the effort to put on the 5.3l anyone else have any input or experience saying otherwise?
another forum im on chevytalk.org I havent gotten any bad advice from them yet and on this occasion i was pretty currious they also said that a cold air intake wouldnt do any good either but that sounds like bad info to me![]()

both are good for hp and torque gains
i think K&n rates 15 or so hp with a cat back plus cold air intake
add a set of headers you are probably looking at 18 to 20 more.
what they are saying may be that the $$ and effort to get them in may not be as beneficial as they had hoped until
you start adding big bolt ons! as in S/C or turbo.
