    Default 2004 silverado speedometer lights...

one of the lights burnt out so its dim on one side. What kind of bulbs are they? also thinking about replacing them with the whitish blue colored ones if anyone knows how or where to get them

From what I have found your truck probably takes a 194 bulb for the dashboard, you may want to double check with your local auto parts store. I changed out all of my bulbs with a conversion from the regular bulb to a led blue bulb designed to fit in the same slot your stock bulbs are. I tried the blue colored bulbs at the store that werent leds and they werent very bright so I went with the leds. I got them on ebay. I found these http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trk...All-Categories

Heres a pic of what mine look like, I also changed the gauges to a white face...

Youve probably got a different style of gauges so it will probably look different but I hope this helps.

03- and up models use LED Bulbs in the cluster. So to replace them you'll have to take it apart and solder another bulb in

Isn't it pretty close though? I guess if nothing else the instructions are tearing apart the dash might help.

Their similar, but the 99-02 style use twist style bulbs which makes it really easy to replace. The 03-up you have to solder the new bulbs in. Which is stupid in my opinion.

03 up use regular bulbs, soldered on the main board. they are NOT LED... LED do not burn out. they can be replaced but you have to desolder, the old bulbs to replace them.
