    take the #1 sparkplug out, turn the engine over by hand untill the piston is all the way up. "TDC" , you do so by placing a finger in the plughole and if it pops out, you have compression stroke.
    Then set the dizzy in ( correct possision ) and wire it up, it should fire !!!!!!!!
    correct possision would be with the number 1 pointing at #1 !!!!
    Hope that helps.

    BTW, did you try a magnet in the hole to maybe find the old clamp ??? just asking.

    Thank You Guys for help[ing out.I finally got the timing set close enough for it to run.Taking it to a computer tommorow to get camshaft retard correct.Thanks.
