Thanks, I picked this boat up new in 2002 in Little Falls, Minnesota, before Glastron moved to Michigan.
    It's a 5.7 with a Vortec Supercharger.
One of my winter projects is to remove the supercharger, with the supercharger it burns to much fuel, throws up a huge rooster tail, but doesnt really get across the lake much faster unless you've got a big lake to build up speed.
And forget about trying to troll with it, last time I tried to idle down to troll I had 2 buckets and 2 sea anchors hanging off the back and it was still going to fast.
But we play more than fish so it does it's job well.

I tournament bass fished from about '93 till '04. Had three bass boats during that time and four tow rigs. Started with a Powerstroke, then a new '97 Furd that blew the engine with 14k on it, a '98 Dodge Ram RCSB 5.9 4x4, '00 Z71 5.3 4x4 and when I "retired" from competitive fishing I was pulling the boat with my current Hemi Ram.
Here is my last bass boat behind my '00 Chevy:

my granson wants to fish and i use a kayak, so i figured a kayak could be bad for him so i went out to the shop and whittled him something a little better, it will be powered by a trolling motor,

he's gonna pull it with a ferd though, haha

I have an '01 Wellcraft Martinique 27.6 OAL. Got it for port to port cruising, but it's a great fishing platform. It has a Chevy 5.7 & a Volvo Penta outdrive with dual directional props (counter rotating). The only downside is the price of gas hasn't let me use it much the last couple years.

CHEVYVANMAN; That boat you made for your grandson is awesome!! & looks a lot like a Corvette from the front.

    Jet Trans 700R4, B&M Ratchet, 4:10 gears,
    3" susp. lift kit "shadetree"
