    Default need help with engine swap

    i have a 2003 yukon xl 5.3L flex fuel and a 2003 sierra 5.3L now the question is can i put the flex fuel engine in the sierra if so what else do i have to change the fuel pump is what i thought and i want to beef up the cam if i can i will be rebuilding the engine before the install please any help will be useful. thanks

    If you arent trying to keep it E85, then you dont need to do anything other than bolt in the new motor. If you want it to stay a flex fuel motor then you need to swap over the entire fuel system (pump/tank/lines) since ethanol is corrosive to the normal fuel parts in a truck.

    thanks mike what about beefing up the cam do i need better lifters and springs i am just a entry level tech with some college just want to get some views on it the truck the engine will be going in has headers and flowmasters
