    Default Dual fuel tanks

    i have a 1986 chevy 1/2 ton with a 305 auto 2wd and it has two gas tanks ,one on each side. i can't get it to switch tanks. i have already replaced the switch on the dash. can anyone tell me what i might try next. i have found a "selector valve" in the LMC restoration catalog is this the part i need to replace next? any thing will help!!!

    Have you checked to make sure that you have power to & from your switch? If yes then you'll have to check the diverter valve under the truck? Have a helper flip the switch back & forth while you smack the valve with a screwdriver handle or a stick to try & free it up. If it doesn't free it up, then you'll need a new one.
