Hi,
I just wanted to share this break-in tip for others. Now, if this is incorrect, please let me know (this is straight from the dealer's mouth).
I was told that for the first 500 miles, do not go over 75 mph nor should you use the auto speed function. Also, no towing. After 500 miles, just keep it within the white lines on the road.At 5000 miles you should see your optimum gas mileage - not really before.
Just thought I'd share. If there is any misinformation, please alert.
Dave N.

All sounds good other than it's more like 20,000 miles when your Duramax will finally be broke in. Not to steer anyone from this site but I have learned quite a bit about how to take care of my Duramax, to all kinds of articles on aftermarket parts for it at http://www.thedieselpage.com/

Wow! Thanks for the heads-up. I guess I'll be spending my day perusing this website.
Thanks,
