    Default Exhaust Set Up?

Alright, i figured its time for a change in my exhaust. I have a 1500HD with the 6.0 and its 4x4. I'm looking to avoid losing torque and such, but i do like the dual split side with straight pipes. HOWEVER. I'm not looking to drop alot of money, so also on the table is, a 3-4" pipe and call it good. Any advice is awesome.

others should chime in, but I think about 2.5" is all you want to do with true duals or you will start to lose power

If you are talking about a single 3" then that would be perfect. Don't go any larger...You will loose backpressure, which will cause torque loss. If you are gonna go with split, run 3" back, and at the split, reduce to 2 1/2". Just my opinion on the matter...

All good points. How would the 3" single sound do you guys think? I'd like to have duals, but that means im more likely to loose power. Not wanting to go that road.

3" single sounds a little better then 2 2.5 inch pipes..but it depends on which muffler your using and if the dual set up would be true dual from front to back or split behind the muffler ?!

If you've decided on just a single pipe, then go with the 3"

A short tip isn't going to have any affect on the sound so go with one that you think looks the best.

I prefer the slash cut tips, looks more aggressive IMO.
