    Default Possibly buying a 2003 C4500 - General Guestions

What I want to find out is:
    1. is it economical compared to a 3500? how or how not?
    2. is this year/make/model unreliable for any particular reason?
    3. what are the yins and yangs of owning and operating one of these vs a 3500?
    4. is this version of the duramax better or worse than any other?

We have been running an F350 for the past few years as our primary haul truck with a 30' dual tandem. The backup truck is an older C3500. Looking at replacing the F350--what would be your thoughts on the change? What is the good and bad in switching to the c4500? Are operating costs roughly even with a 1 ton?

    Thanks!

EDIT: Um, that should say "General Questions" in the title. Sorry about that.
