Default New to forum and need some help

Hi there...first post here and looking for some info. I have a 2007 Silverado and looking at installing LED footwell lights which will run off the dome light wire. My issue is I dont have the wire color or where I can tap into the wire. A buddy of mine have a F150 and he added these to his truck. Pretty sweet looking and very practical. Any advice or suggestions as to where I can locate the wire to tap into and obviously the color? Thanks folks..getting frustrated looking online and cant seem to find anything. Been snowing here and bored..need to do some wrenching.

Hey Hobbs, welcome to the club. That'll be a nice add, & fairly easy to wire them in. The best place to pick up your power for that circuit is right at the courtesy lights under the footwells. This will make for short wire runs & real easy to find. Mine are white & orange but yours could be different as GM changes colors occasionally, but still the wires will be right there at your lights, so you can't miss them.

Great. I don't have a repair manual yet but one on order. I am looking to remove the knee bolster and have removed the two screws and the emergency brake bolt. Seems free but still not sure. Any help would be great. Thank you in advance. Hobbes
