    Default sparkplugs 2500hd

Hey fellas, want to do a plug job this weekend for my 03 2500hd 6.0l, wondering what you guys recommend. With gas creeping up close to 4 dollars a gallon I'm trying to squeeze the most mileage out of my truck. Also is doing the plug wires worth it at 85,000miles? If so what do you recommend?
    Thanks guys
    Cameron

Hey Cameron, welcome to the truck club. Stick with the AC Delco plugs. Many members have posted on here that they have had nothing but trouble with other brands. For determining if your plug wires need replacing, check the resistance with a multimeter. They are too difficult to judge condition just by looking, unless they show signs of melting on the exhaust, or arcing etc....

Welcome to the club. Your factory plugs are good for 100,000 miles. I took mine out at 80,000 and they were almost like new. As others and myself have found with GM's they run best with the factory A/C Delco's. I would change the plug wires because not only do they have 85,000 miles but they have age, almost 7 years.
