    Default 5.7 TBI to vortec 5.7

    would the vortec 5.7 be a direct fit to replace the 5.7 TBI what modification would i need if any

    you will need the complete wiring harness if you are doing a complete vortec motor, as well as PCM.

    X2, & you're also going to need the fuel pump from the donor truck (60 psi compared to 12 psi), & probably all the fuel lines due to fitment issues, & fp relay. You may also have issues with fp fitment to your tank. Do you have access to the donor vehicle where you can take anything you want, or is it in a salvage yard? This is a nice swap, but it's going to nickle & dime you to death if you don't own the donor vehicle.

    Jet Trans 700R4, B&M Ratchet, 4:10 gears,
    3" susp. lift kit "shadetree"
    No rev limiter, No speed limiter lol

    were all the vortec's tpi? or were some tbi? The (possibly) cheaper/easier route would be staying with TBI if you can find a manifold for a decent price somewhere. something like this, though this one might be more than a donor truck...

    or you can go with a standard 4 barrel manifold and adapter and do away with the egr.
