Sorry if I am bringing up an old thread, but i found this forum to be very helpful and wanted to put in my two cents about how I did mine. I have a 2008 Silverado. On the back bowtie, along with the flexfuel emblem and LT emblem, I heated them up with a hair dryer and then used fishing line and ran it back and forth under the emblems. It removes it without ever risking scratching the paint. Hope this helps.

get a thin piece of wire/cable and "saw" it back and fourth as you pull it across the back of the emblem to cut through the double sided tape.
like how you'd remove windshield rubberGas was $1.83 when Obama took office.....
