    Default trailblazer 4wd

my girlfriend has an 06 trailblazer 5.3 it had been having electrical issues. so i looked into the alternator. turns out the belt tensioner was shot and the belt was slipping.
problem solved... except for it randomly engaging 4wd cruising down the highway at 70 mph, its not just the light either its kicking in. put it on a snap on scanner, and all the codes had cleared themselves out. any insight?

Try pulling the fuse for the 4wd then re-installing it or disconnect the negative battery wire and then reconnect it. Thats what I do when my truck had any weird electrical issues.
