Default How to install windshield wipers on 03-07 silverado?

I know I know this may seem like a silly question especially coming from someone who can tackle a full motor swap but has anyone recently changed their wipers on their truck?! And if so how do you do it?! I've looked at it and there is a pin that looks like it comes out but I'm not sure how the best way is to tackle this job!

The pin is part of the wiper, they should just unclip and slide off. I just got wipers on my truck last month but it was raining so I let the guy from Advance Auto do it, my Wife says I'm a dick sometimes! I did just put wipers on her car yesterday, same set up (sunshine so I did them myself).

    Here's pics of my wipers.

    Pry up the retaining clip:

    Pull blade towards you.

    Slide wiper arm from blade.

Slide on new blade and push it firmly away from you to secure in arm.

    Resecure retaining clip.

Glad it helped. One thing I don't like is that you can't lift the wiper the whole way off the windshield, not sure why they did that.

Agree 100%. I changed mine not long ago, what a pain trying to hold it up a little and unhook it. Also only lifting up a little is a pain when your cleaning a foot of snow off the truck and trying to get it out from around them. Nice write up Adam!
