Default Chevy Z71 Axle swap- HELP PLEASE

Hi everyone, first off I am new here and need some help. Ive searched the forum and have found the same question from other people, but havent found an answer.

I have a 94 chevy 1500 that i put a 3/4 ton rear axle in (14bolt full floater 8 lug). I am still using the stock 1500 driveshaft and cannot get a u joint to fit with the 3/4 ton yoke. I get all my parts from NAPA. I usually get the precision brand u joints. If anyone can help me with this PLEASE DO. Also if you have the part # that would help even more. I saw on a post a long time ago that sumone had this same question and a person replied and said to ask a guy called "spicer". If anyone knows who that is, I would like to know. I tried searching but had no luck finding him lol. Thanks a lot guys!

Spicer is a brand Dana Spicer but I think the u-joint you need in NAPA u-joint 447.

thanks for the fast reply. i did buy the napa 447. for some reason it is way too wide and wont fit into my driveshaft. im guessing sumone previously bought this u joint and swapped it out with a diff. one so i got the wrong one. going to go back to napa and try to exchange it. i knew i had the right number! thanks again. by the way, how hard is it to beat that u joint into the driveshaft? because im using a 5# sledge and it WILL not go in. thats how much bigger it is lol.

Were you putting the u-joint in the right way not saying you dont know what your doing but I have done it before. Yeah but you shouldn't have to beat it with a 5lb sledge to get the caps to seat.

ya lol i was putting it in the right way, because the other 2 caps were even bigger. like i said, im guessing someone had the part before me, and returned it in the 447 box, but its not actually a 447 u joint. I hope.

That should be the issue if not check out http://www.neapco.com/pdf/2007universaljointcatalog.pdf and you can find both u joints (drive shaft and rear diff) you need and then find the conversion joint for several brands.
