Default 2011 Chevy Silverado HD - Head to Head Comparison Videos w/ Howie Long

Watch all of the Chevy Silverado 2500 HD "Head to Head" comparison videos right here on GMTruckClub.com. I just saw all of these Silverado HD videos come out with Howie Long showing some of the tests they put all of these trucks through. Watch the passing one, he's about to lose it for a second.

Wow, the HD is pretty hardcore compared to the Ford and Dodge "HD" trucks.

Nice to see real world tests as opposed to those stupid Tundra tests they had last year, who drives up a flaming spiral tower of steel? I liked the frame twist test when the fords tailgate buckled!

The 3rd video -"Head to Head High-Altitude Accelleration Test" is giving a message of "This video is private."

    Here is a working link

Great article Steve. Just got done watching and it was impressive to see the trucks head to head. That new exhaust brake looks like a nice feature.

You know what.. I'm sorry, but I don't believe any of these videos.
And I don't believe the same videos that Ford and Dodge put out as well..
It's just too easy for them to "not tell the whole truth".. in my opinion..
I think it's a lot better for the consumer to try it themselves, or go to an independent company like Car & Driver..
They're cool and all.. but Ford put out a video that's pretty much the same circumstances, and the Ford was the one that was winning every test.. and I'm sure there's videos where Dodge is the better truck in these circumstances.. it's only natural for a manufacturer to want their products to look better than the competition..

That's just my two cents though..

all i know is that everyone i talked to that bought a RamHD was disappointed, the guy at our shot that recycles the old coolant used to drive a 02 chevy 2500HD and bought a 2010 2500HD ram and had nothing but bad stuff to say about it. after 6 months he traded it in and bought a new chevy.

He pulls a 32ft enclosed trailer all over the state not sure on weight but i could imagine its a lot. he states that his 02 got better mileage than the new ram...

i think it's awesome, they had a 3rd party do the testing, and it matches what i've heard from everybody I know...chevy rules, ford drools, and ram is always trying to catch up lol

Better job was done by the folks at mrtrailer.com with their "Hurt Locker" series of tests that covered over 2,000 miles of hauling with a 19,000 pound trailer in tow. The testing was of the 3500HD, F-350, and Dodge Ram 1 ton trucks. If Howie Long was involved in a test between a 2500HD and a F-150 he was being taken along with the people watching the video. Hardly valid or relevant to compare a 3/4 ton to a 1/2 ton truck.
