I'm running the Banks CAI, you can see on my photo album and a Magnaflow exhaust, not too loud even when you get on it.

i have a spectre cold air ($140 at advance) and flowmaster exhaust.... the CAI added some growl when i got on it, but with the flowmaster on i never hear the CAI anymore.

i picked up .5 mpg or so, then with the hypertech i got a little more. itll vary based on the vehical and how you drive.

best thing i can tell ya is do the research and get what you like, not what someone else tells you to. especially someone like me, who just pretends to know what hes talking about.

Right now I'm leaning towards doing a 1 in, 2 out exhaust, not a true dual exhaust system along with replacing the stock intake tube with a larger tube. Am I looking at getting an increase in MPGs if I am able to keep my foot off the pedal?

^^^^ pretty much thats the hardest part with either mod...

when you put on the intake, or exhaust, or both. It's only natural your going to want to hear the truck roar, and you wont notice yourself pushing your put alittle more to the floor. If and when you can control that urge, thats when your going to notice a difference in you trips to the gas station...

If your good, id say about 1 or 2 tanks and you'll be able to control yourself from dropping the hammer all the time...

Yeah i def. agree with what CALDWELL said but i had straight's and they guzzled gas especially since they were true dual setup with 2.5 inch pipe. I installed a Flowmaster super 40 series dual in/dual out which is still true dual but the gas mileage is better along with HP and Torque and back pressure my truck use to have lag no doesn't at all and since i put a drop in K&N air filter it's helped also ha.I know this week when i get my x pipe installed i will be on the gas even more to see how much it helped and how it will perform. I know i got allot more power now cause now i can mash on the gas at a complete stop and leave black tire mark's on the pavement and i have 33 13.50's so overall i'm happy but will be happier once i installed my Pacesetter Quik Trip Long Tube header's next week also!
