Question 3rd fuel pump in 2 years

I'm going to get my 4th fuel pump installed (in 2 years). Why is my 1999 gmc yukon 5.7 4x4 going through these things like they were snacks??

Those are some expensive snacks!! I haven't heard of anyone else going through that many before. Mine has only been changed onece that I know of in 118,000 miles. Where are you buying the pumps and who is putting them in?

are you running the tank down to empty on every tank? The only thing I could think of is that it's overheating majorly. Either that, or there may be a blockage downstream of the pump that's causing excess stress on it to move the fuel along...

Also might want to check the voltage at the pump, and check if the tank has a lot of trash in it.
