Just remember putting too much air in the tires will wear them out in the center faster.. Also remember it is a BIG heavy truck.. 8-10 MPG's will be the norm. Look at what you spend on the aftermarket parts and what the benefits are and see if they are worth it..A good tune up and clean out should bring it up a bit...

OKAY Guys, thanks for all the help. Just wanted to let everyone know that I have inflated my tires to their max load cold PSI rating of 80psi.
Ran a can of seafoam through the gas tank and drove like a little old man using the crap out of cruise control. Even without doing a tune up or
cutting off the CATS, I am at 11.1 MPG. Thanks again. Im thinking after the tune up and going CAT free (no smog testing down here in Hogansville
GA. ) is should maybe be getting around 13. Almost double what I was getting a week ago. Hell yeah.

By the way, this 88 is a little tricky for me. I does not have a carb and it doesnt look like fuel injection. Its like a messed up inside out looking carb thing.
Ill take pictures and post them if anyone wants em.
