Towing with the Colorado

i have a 2005 colorado, 4 door crew cab with teanu cover, i tow a 16 foot pop up camper, i have 3 20lb, bottles of propane,and 100 pound propane generator, in rear, a tool box @150 lbs. every thing we use camping trailer ect. we wighed at a scale, ant total weight is over 7700 lbs. my colorado pulls it all no problem, on the interstste, i run 60mph,only i get 18 mog, when i pull hills i put tranny in 3rd gear, it never boggs down. i have electric brakes on trailer, i have a brake controler installed at bottom of dash it works great. my camper is a 2003, with electric brakes i highly suggest the electric brakes, i pulled this camper home when i first got it without the electric brakes hooked up believe me i will never do that again, i hope i was helpfull, good luck oh yea i installed a set of firestone air bags on the rear, they make a world of differance in the ride, the air bags are well worth the money, my wife helped me install them the ease was moderate to install i also have a k&n air filter wow that was a great investment also, i use k&n oil filter also with lucas oil synthetic and lucas fuel additive my mpg,s increased 3 mpg. and again i hope the info helps ( marine) 59 and most important i have the i-5 cyl engine
