02 silverado, starts but won't keep running
I have a 2002 6.0 liter 5 speed manual 2500HD. Intermittently it will start but will not keep running, some times it will start and the idle will hunt. No check engine light or fault code present. I have not done to much to this truck as far as maintenance goes. change the oil/filter pugs, wires. fuel filter.
Not sure what this could be, I am thinking an O2 sensor. Note sure.
Any thought or folks that had the same problem?

Sounds like its time to pull the throttle body and clean it up really well with throttle body cleaner (NOT CARB CLEANER it will damage the throttle body) and make sure you hit the Idle Air Control valve passage really well since that will cause the problems you are talking about.Mike

Welcome to the club, Toyhord. As murdog94 said I'd start with cleaning the throttlebody. I like to remove the t/body so I can clean both sides with a soft toothbrush and t/body cleaner. As mike said don't use carb cleaner use throttlebody cleaner. I like Seafoam or CRC cleaners. I would also clean the MAF, use MAF cleaner ownly. CRC is the ownly company that I know that makes a MAF cleaner, its in a silver can. Clean the MAF per the cans directions.
