Patrick, what temps were you running with the clutch fan?

We have the same Yr and model truck, and mine runs 175/180 on the Hwy, but 220+ in city traffic. Of course it's normally 90+ here in SW Florida.

i thought i post an update as well, i been out on the road for a few weeks and the motor home never got above 1/2 on the temp scale. i was rolling 70-80 most of the freeway time and hit the GrapeVine in southern california and the big block never missed a beat and never went above 3/4 (i was loaded and running 70 up the hill so she was working some) again this is a 27' Southwind motorhome.
Here she is with the bronco ready to go play. she is a 1982 southwind.
