Tire Size question?

I was looking at putting some wider tires on my stock 08 silverado, it has 275/55/20 and i was wondering if 305/50/20 would fit? or if any one knows if they are to wide. thanks.

If the below Rim is the one you are asking about??....Factory Alloy 20in" Rims have a....Backspace of 6ins" and a Offset of...+31mm

Wheel Size: 20 x 8.5

Bolt Pattern: 6 x 5.5

Finish: Machined Silver

I can fit 37's on a 2" body lift on my 1500 HD
A Z71 with for keys can fit 35-12.50's with rubbing.
But if you ain't rubbin you aint riddin!!!!
But yes 305's will fit o stock rims. but when you start to get bigger rims and wider rims the rim itself begins to rub which in no bueno!
