Front Driver Sides Squeaks like a Son of ..........
So i am dumbfounded....... Last week i put on some new rims on my truck. 22 inch 6 x 5.5. No problems really up until a couple days ago. I started to get a squeak when i was driving. Not too loud but could definately hear it. Over the past two days it has gotten considerably worse. It is sooo loud, louder than my exhaust !!! I want people to look at my truck but not because of the sound it makes.
What do you guys think it might be? Rock stuck somewhere? Gets louder when i brake but even when im just driving its still squeaking. What do you guys think?

Could be a rock stuck in the brake caliper since it sounds louder when you apply the brakes, but I would definitely re-check the wheel torque since this started right after you installed the new wheels. I would also check for interference between the wheels & body & suspension parts since the wheels are larger1988 Chevy C-3500 2wd (no pic)

stephan, thats why I don't take my truck to a tire store, I just take the wheels to have new tires mounted. When I was a SnapOn dealer some of the things I saw was just plain scary.

yep 10-4. I always mount my own tires too. Every time I see a thread like this it reminds me of Tennessee Griz & how the tire store rammed his wheels on with an impact wrench & warped his brake drums. It happens a lot & the tires stores just don't know any better
