I miss the high road views in Western New York in the foothills of the Adirondack Mt's. I always tell everyone I grew up in Gods Country.

Are you presently employed or retired???
02-23-2012, 03:48 PM #457
Presently unemployed and searching for employment. I had eye surgery in 2008 and NAPA terminated me while in surgery. Since that time I have been in surgery 7 more times for the eye and still have no vision. My savings has held till now and I am selling personal collections to pay what few bills I have.
NAPA violated the FMLA rules as well as their own disability payment program and to this day I still do not know why I was terminated. They kept giving different reasons to the unemployment judge. No of which were true and the judge saw that. Crap I made a boat load of money for them and they treated me unfairly. I was on stage each year for sales accomplishments and not one year did my sales go down. They were always increasing.
So I guess it was forced retirement for now.
I do spend quite a bit of time volunteering at both the VA and the local food bank. Mostly the food bank now as it is closer to my home.
Well a long winded answer, my apologies.

My daughter tells me all the time to take time for me, but I just do like helping others. The satisfaction from helping others feel better about themselves or life are truly a great source of satisfaction.
With the Veterans it is a small way to give back for what they provided for me and my family. I get emotional hen I hear the Star Spangled Banner, cause I truly picture in my mind all those that lost something so I could have so much.
I fly the flag proudly and take care of it as if it were my own.
I Love this country and most of the people in it , but Obama and Pelosi are not included. As well as many others who degrade what my ancestors and yours died for.

Too many people today don't recognize to sacrifices that soo many men and women made to allow us to live as we do today. Our youth are not being taught this in our Goverment schools because of the liberal agenda of most of our teachers today. Its a shame the youth of today are being brainwashed by these left wingnuts!!
