hello i have an 03 yukon and have had the steering shaft(intermediate shaft) replaced and since then the steering wheel doesnt lock when the key is out anyone run into this problem? is sumthing just unplugged or did the dealership break sumthing

Sounds like the spring that pushes the lock pin through the lock plate didn't get put back in correctly. I would take it back to who ever did the repair and have them fix it correctly.

So their defense is they put it back together knowing it had issues needing repair and didnt inform the owner a repair was needed. Another chance to get billable hours and parts sales.
Time to talk to a General Manager or Regional Manager. There's a GM 1-800 consumer line (cant find the number at this time) that has gotten good response in the past.
If it is indeed a new problem since the steering shaft repair I'd take it to the top, this issue make you loose confidence in the actual repair, if he didnt put the ignition steering lock together correctly what else did he screw up that you arent seeing yet.
