noise from the rear on Tahoe LT
I recently traded my silverado for a 07 Tahoe LT with 30,000 miles. I like it so far but it is my first suv. I am hearing a noise from the rear when I hit bumps or go over bumps like speed bumps etc. It sound like the rear shocks. It not like it a clunk sound but its like a pressure sound or squeak. Is this a normal sound and if not is that covered under the factory warranty because I did purchase the GM Major Guard warranty.
anyone have any input??

I have a 07 Tahoe LTZ and mine has recently started doing this as well but I haven't had a chance to have it looked at yet. Does yours have the air ride suspension?

It kind of sounds like a shock absorber. Try parking it and try to push the suspention up and down from the back and listen or have someone do that when your under it to try and see where its coming from. I would imagine it would be covered by the warrenty though.1995 C1500 4.3L 2WD. JET TBI Spacer, JET stage 1 chip, 10mm Taylor custom wires, Pulstar Iridium Pulse Plugs.

Could be shocks, exhaust or heat shield. Have someone jump up and down on the rear bumper while you lay under the truck. Have them grap the exhaust tip ( when cool ofcourse) and push and pull on it and last while your still under the truck hit the heat shields with your hand ( becareful of sharp edges). I had a heat shield near the exhaust and transmission that drove me crazy.
