I like all the english terminology.

I bought a trailer at the auction today to use for work over the summer, so it should work nicely for bringing the car home on saturday. I'm excited for that. For what its worth, I also bought a 1997 F350 to have a heavier truck that I can work hard and not worry about. I'll save you all from the pics of that though - its in good shape, but its a ford and theres really nothing special about it.

Congrats on the new ride. That's a great dash. You could go the other way and paint the top blue.

HA! I'll bring it to bury in your yard. The D-9 is bigger than my whole yard

Seriously though, there were only a handful of GMs there, most were in really rough shape, and all sold beyond my budget. I got the ford for $1100 so with a 9' deck on it, so it was a pretty good buy. The frame has less surface rust than my silverado.

    Its home!

I finally picked up the spitfire and brought it home today. As promised, the pictures start now:

My plan this week is to hopefully get the transmission back in and other various parts reassembled. As I progress, there will be more pictures and once its running there will be video.

And, just because I know how badly Stephan wanted this:

As awesome as that would be, I'm not sure I would want to do all of the reinforcing of the frame and suspension to put that heavy of an engine in. That would be a really fast car with that setup though

Its not bad. The key doesn't work in the doors and the dash is cracked but it runs well and has lots of power. From what I've heard, the 7.5L (460ci) engine is one of their more reliable ones, so hopefully it will serve me well
