    They look like the standard body mount bolt up boards. Did you have someone weld them to the body mounts?

    I crawled under and looked and they are welded and there are no bolts... and they were on the truck when I bought it

    Man, that sucks. I guess you would have to either plasma cut them out or just live with least momma will be happy!

    They are not thick metal, take a sawsaw with a metal cutting blade and cut them off as close to the frame as you can get, then grind it smooth and touch up with either some black spray paint or a can of spray undercoating (I like 3M canned undercoating).

    I forgot, the tubes most likely have a square flange on the ends. I assume they welded the bars on the frame at these square flanges. If this is how they did it just cut the tubes off as close as possible to the flanges and just leave the flanges there and grid the flanges smooth and spray them as mentioned above. Hope I explained this so you understand.
